It’s that time of the year again, it’s almost hurricane season. The Selmon Extension construction team is all about safety and we follow state-approved polices to keep our community safe – and to minimize damage to structures and equipment. Once the extension is complete, the new bridge will provide a safer, dedicated hurricane evacuation route for over one-million local and regional families.
According to the Weather Company, we’ll have a slightly less active Atlantic hurricane season versus in 2018. The Weather Company projects 14 named storms, including seven hurricanes, of which three are major hurricanes (category 3 to 5).

The hurricane season starts June 1 and lasts until November 30.
