Selmon Extension construction crews unveiled the first architectural fin sitting on top of the west end approach ramp. This is one of 27 fins that crews will construct using a post-tensioning system protected by a wax flexible filler which makes this project the first to use this technique in the country. Each fin will have aesthetic lighting underneath and on both sides. There will also be aesthetic lighting on the pier columns below. Over the weekend, crews finished stripping the forms for fin number two.
