BLOG – Nearly Wall to Wall Complete!

The construction of nine MSE (mechanically stabilized Earth) walls is nearing completion. The Selmon Extension team is currently working on their final wall, which will serve as the southbound Selmon on-ramp to St. Petersburg.

All MSE walls consist of alternating layers of granular fill or dirt with reinforcing steel to hold everything in place. The face of all the walls is made of precast concrete panels and will be painted grey.
