NEW TRAFFIC PATTERN FOR RIGHT-TURN LANE AT GANDY BOULEVARD AND DALE MABRY HIGHWAY INTERSECTION
On Monday, August 5, 2019, crews will implement a new traffic pattern from East Gandy Boulevard onto South Dale Mabry Highway. Drivers making the right turn at the intersection will have a short merge into the middle travel lane onto Dale Mabry (see photo below). The new temporary roadway will be aligned with barrels as a guide. The traffic shift is needed for crews to conduct drainage work at the corner. Please use caution while driving in this area. There are electronic messages boards are posted to alert drivers. This temporary traffic pattern will remain for several weeks until work is complete, weather permitting.
In an effort to keep the construction crews and the traveling public safe, we want to remind motorists that the posted construction speed limit is 45 miles per hour. Speed enforcement will be in place in the signed construction zones. The fine for speeding in a construction zone is double the amount of a regular ticket.
