SELMON EXTENSION CREWS TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE WESTBOUND GANDY BOULEVARD RAMP TONIGHT FOR HURRICANE PREPARATION
On Thursday, August 29, 2019, Selmon Extension construction crews will temporarily close the entrance ramp to the westbound Gandy Boulevard from the Selmon Expressway at 9 pm. Workers will close this portion to secure the equipment in preparation of a strong force winds anticipated from Hurricane Dorian. The ramp reopens on Friday, August 30, 2019, at 6 am. Detour signs will be posted. We would like the public to be prepared for a hurricane by knowing your evacuation zone and developing an evacuation plan. Assemble disaster supplies and make sure your home is storm ready. Have a plan. You can visit your county website for information on shelters, evacuation routes, storm tracking and more.
