UPDATE: TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE SCHEDULED ON GANDY BOULEVARD FOR OVERHEAD BRIDGE WORK
On Tuesday, June 4, and Wednesday, June 5, 2019, Selmon Extension construction crews will temporarily shut down portions of Gandy Boulevard in both directions between Dale Mabry Highway and Church Street for overhead bridge work. The temporary shutdown will occur both days between 9 pm and 6 am.
The Selmon Expressway off-ramp to westbound Gandy Boulevard will be temporarily closed during these times. Drivers will need to detour at Bay to Bay Boulevard or Euclid Avenue. Drivers can access the Selmon, by using the ramp on northbound Dale Mabry behind the Target. The off-ramp from the Selmon to eastbound Gandy Boulevard will remain open during this time.
In an effort to keep the construction crews and the traveling public safe, we want to remind motorists that the posted construction speed limit is 45 miles per hour. Speed enforcement will be in place in the signed construction zones. The fine for speeding in a construction zone is double the amount of a regular ticket.
